Machine Operator - Fabrication Department

2nd Shift - $19/hr

Overview

We are seeking dedicated machine operators to join our fabrication department. These positions are available on the 2nd shift, operating from 4 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, with the possibility of overtime on Fridays. Initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift. The primary responsibility involves running the sand blasting machine, with one opening on A Station for loading sheets and controlling machine pace, and another on B Stationfor offloading and conducting quality checks. Effective communication and teamwork are essential as A and B Station operators must work collaboratively. Responsibilities

+ Operate sand blasting machines efficiently.

+ Load and unload materials at the designated stations.

+ Perform quality checks on processed materials.

+ Maintain general housekeeping standards in the work area.

+ Handle materials using forklifts and other equipment.

+ Use hand and power tools for various tasks.

Essential Skills

+ 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.

+ Ability to lift 50lbs.

+ Experience in machine operation, particularly CNC, is advantageous.

+ Steel industry experience is beneficial.

Work Environment

Work in a large manufacturing plant with exposure to noise, dust, and the hazards typical of a high-traffic, heavy machinery environment. Standard work hours are Monday through Thursday with overtime possibilities. Flexibility with work hours may be required, subject to management's discretion with prior notice.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dekalb, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80/hr.
