1ST Shift Quality Technician $28-$33 / HR
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the precision and quality of machined parts by inspecting and verifying them against prints and specifications. You will document results, control nonconforming materials, and collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot quality issues, supporting continuous improvement in a dynamic CNC shop environment.
Responsibilities
+ Inspect and verify machined parts using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
+ Perform first article inspections and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other hand tools.
+ Operate CMM and optical inspection equipment to verify complex geometries.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and inspection criteria.
+ Record inspection results, complete inspection reports, and maintain quality documentation.
+ Identify nonconforming parts, tag/sort rejects, and initiate containment actions.
+ Collaborate with operators and engineers to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions.
+ Support continuous improvement and 5S activities on the shop floor.
+ Calibrate and perform routine checks on gages and inspection fixtures; escalate calibration needs.
+ Participate in audits, supplier inspections, and customer quality requests as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Quality control and assurance expertise.
+ Proficiency with precision hand measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
+ Ability to read blueprints and basic GD&T.
+ Strong attention to detail and good record-keeping skills.
+ Basic PC skills for logging data and generating reports.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop inspection role.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
