Description

Operating automatic, coil-fed, or computer numerical control (CNC) presses, along with related equipment like feeders and conveyors.

Oversee press setups, production runs, and changeovers to ensure efficiency and meet production schedules.

Monitor and adjust machine settings, perform quality checks on finished products, and analyze production data to maintain high-quality output.

Supervise and train press operators, assign tasks, and provide guidance on best practices for machine operation, safety, and quality control

Perform routine maintenance on the machinery, troubleshoot mechanical or technical issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

Maintain accurate production records and communicate any issues or concerns to leadership or the maintenance team member

Performing meticulous quality checks on finished parts using precision measuring instruments (gauges, calipers, micrometers)

Monitoring press operations to detect irregularities or malfunctions. Operators are expected to perform minor adjustments, preventative maintenance, and assist the maintenance team with complex repairs to keep machines running smoothly.

Adjust pressure settings to manufacturer specifications for the specific material/job.

Implement regular inspection and replacement schedules for worn components. Ensure proper tool material is used for the application.

Maintain hydraulic systems - Check fluid levels and condition, repair leaks, replace worn seals, clean filters, and bleed air from the system.

Ideal candidates would have experience with:

Clearly define the issue and observe the symptoms (e.g., unusual noise, machine vibration, product defects). Determine what could be causing the problem

Implement fix , document findings, and perform actions for future outcomes

Additional Skills & Qualifications

4+ years experience in operating heavy machinery or maintenance with Press equipment (such as stamping, hydraulic, or punch presses)

Would consider someone from Tech school possibly if good at troubleshooting

Strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams, and knowledge of machine calibration and adjustment procedures.

he role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for an entire shift, perform repetitive motions, and frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds or more.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
