Job Title: Packaging Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a Packaging Technician and contribute to the production of high-quality pharmaceutical products. You will work on the 1st shift from 6:45 AM to 2:45 PM, applying Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements to ensure safety and efficiency in all activities.
Responsibilities
+ Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements in all areas of responsibility.
+ Comply with all safety regulations and conduct all activities in a safe, efficient manner.
+ Perform manual or automated assembly, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products while ensuring adherence to specifications and the highest quality standards.
+ Act as the primary performer of in-process and AQL inspections and other necessary tasks.
+ Perform computer-related tasks to perform necessary duties.
+ Participate in the start-up and closure of packaging jobs.
+ Clean packaging rooms and machinery in accordance with SOPs and GMP.
+ Perform counts of components and drug products.
+ Accept or reject in-process clinical supplies and drug products.
Essential Skills
+ Hand-eye coordination, dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to perform repetitive tasks with both hands.
+ Working mathematical skills for counting, adding, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
+ Ability to interpret 2D diagrams and batch paperwork to ensure proper assembly of clinical supplies.
+ Capability to meet physical requirements such as standing continuously, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level.
+ Ability to read, comprehend, and execute the content of English work documents, including SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures.

+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
+ Initiative to follow through on commitments and adapt to changing circumstances.
+ Willingness to accept and learn from feedback, especially related to corrective or preventative actions.
+ Ability to work in primary, secondary, refrigerated (2 to 8° C), and freezer (-20° C) environments.

Work Environment
Candidates must be comfortable working in a clean room environment that requires gowning. The position requires working in a freezer environment for up to 80% of the day. Personal protective equipment, including filtering face masks, PAPR, N-95 masks, half face masks, and safety glasses, is required. Enjoy an additional $2 per hour for working in refrigerated areas and an additional $3 per hour for working in freezer environments.

This is a Contract position based out of Allentown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.70 - $19.55/hr.
