Job Title: General Production Worker - 1st Shift

Job Description

As a General Production Worker in the Digital Department, you will operate a digital press machine, ensuring its proper setup and functionality. This role involves minimal manual intervention compared to traditional printing presses. You will be trained to load paper into the machine without lifting, enter orders into the computer, monitor the process, and manage the final product by counting and stacking. The position requires light lifting up to 20 lbs regularly and basic computer operation skills.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate digital press machines, ensuring smooth functioning.

+ Load paper rolls into the machine and enter orders into the computer.

+ Monitor the production process and manage output by counting and stacking products.

+ Perform light lifting up to 20 lbs regularly.

+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in a production environment.

+ Ability to operate machinery and perform general labor tasks.

+ Basic computer skills, including opening files and emails.

+ Ability to maintain focus while standing for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 1 year working with a single company.

+ References that confirm consistent attendance.

+ Experience in printing (Press, Digital, or Flexo) is an advantage.

Work Environment

The position is based in a large, well-lit production facility that is climate-controlled to maintain optimal conditions for paper handling. The environment is loud due to multiple machines running simultaneously, but it is kept clean and tidy. The shift is from 7 am to 3 pm, and the dress code requires secure attire, such as tying back long hair and wearing close-toed shoes, to ensure safety and maintain a professional appearance during client tours.

This is a Permanent position based out of Waukesha, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
