Swiss Machinist – CNC Swiss‑Style Lathes

**Shifts Available:** 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, Weekend Shift (Day & Night)

**Pay Range:** $28–$40/hr (based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking skilled **Swiss Machinists** to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Swiss‑style lathes (Citizen, Star, or similar) to produce precision aerospace components in accordance with engineering specifications and strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate CNC Swiss‑style turning centers for precision aerospace machining

+ Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T drawings, and process sheets

+ Select, install, and adjust tooling, collets, and fixtures for optimal performance

+ Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain accuracy

+ Perform in‑process inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and optical comparators

+ Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP, etc.)

+ Troubleshoot and correct program, tooling, or setup issues

+ Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize processes

+ Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S and lean principles

+ Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time

+ Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency with G‑code programming and CNC controls

+ Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools and inspection techniques

+ Ability to hold tight tolerances (+/– .0001")

+ Familiarity with titanium, stainless steel, Inconel, and aluminum

+ Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $76960.00/yr.
