Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an Assembly Technician who will perform routine production assembly operations on electrical and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems equipment and accessories. The role demands a strong commitment to growth, development, and professionalism to drive learning and continuous improvement within the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will work independently to develop, modify, and document actions to assure problem resolution and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine production assembly operations on electrical and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
+ Exhibit a strong commitment to growth, development, and professionalism.
+ Work independently to develop, modify, and document actions to assure problem resolution.
+ Engage in ongoing learning to build and maintain necessary knowledge and skills.
+ Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity by following established practices and procedures.
+ Receive general supervision with basic instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new assignments.
+ Perform routine or standardized work, choosing from a variety of well-established options.
Essential Skills
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ 1 year of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
+ Experience in a highly regulated environment where compliance is critical.
+ 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems utilizing production industry standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 1 year of experience working with specialized tools such as electrical and mechanical wire crimpers and strippers, wire routing tools, multimeters.
+ Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for defining delivery configurations.
+ Ability to differentiate production manufacturing processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.
+ Complete knowledge of shop processes including Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling safety, calibration requirements, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).

Work Environment
This position requires working 100% onsite at one of the listed location options. Candidates must be willing to work any shift. The work environment involves the use of specialized tools and adherence to safety and compliance standards in a regulated manufacturing setting. Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position, and candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This is a Contract position based out of Smithfield, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
