    Job Title: Avionic Technician

    Job Description

    Join our team as an Avionic Installer where you will have the opportunity to work in one of two dynamic departments. We are currently seeking two avionics installers and two service avionics technicians. The role involves the installation, inspection, repair, overhaul, and rewiring of complete electrical systems and components on various aircraft. You will also perform functional and operational checkouts of electrical instruments and flight systems, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Professional appearance and communication skills are essential as you will interact directly with customers at our facilities.

    Responsibilities

    + Install, check, repair, and overhaul electrical systems and components on a variety of aircraft.

    + Perform functional and operational checkouts of electrical instruments and flight systems.

    + Troubleshoot and repair or send out for repair malfunctioning avionics systems in customer aircraft.

    + Install avionics systems and components.

    + Communicate directly and openly with customers regarding the status and time frame of repairs.

    + Make decisions regarding installation, troubleshooting, and discrepancy resolution using sound judgment and technical aptitude.

    Essential Skills

    + 3 to 4+ years of experience in avionics installation, not bench level.

    + Experience in true systems installation work, including projects like Starlink and Gogo installs.

    + Technical competence and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills in avionics systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with electrical and aviation systems.

    + Familiarity with corporate aircraft and schematic interpretation.

    + Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.

    Work Environment

     

    This position is based in an MRO facility in Augusta, GA. The role requires heavy overtime, and candidates must be open to working flexible hours. Shifts include a first shift from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and a second shift from 3:30 PM to midnight.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AUGUSTA, GA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
