Job Title: Electronics Repair Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves testing, diagnosing, and repairing electro-mechanical equipment while ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency. You will work with a variety of test equipment, including oscilloscopes and signal analyzers, and will be integral in maintaining our quality standards.
Responsibilities
+ Test, diagnose, and repair electro-mechanical equipment using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, radio test sets, and signal analyzers.
+ Test, diagnose, and repair PCBA's down to component level in accordance with IPC level 2 and 3 standards.
+ Conduct safety tests on customer and production equipment.
+ Enter symptom, fault diagnosis, and fixes into IT systems and fault databases.
+ Accurately record productive and non-productive hours in the ERP system.
+ Forecast and monitor job costs to ensure repairs remain economical and profitable, liaising with supervision when necessary.
+ Monitor and implement CSD actions and change notices to upgrade customer equipment.
+ Identify repeat failures within repairs and communicate trends to production engineering and supervision.
+ Ensure all equipment is within calibration and has the appropriate safety certifications before use.
+ Maintain job status in IT systems including T-Card and ERP.
+ Produce test and repair documentation for customers.
+ Provide updates on equipment repair status and costing to Customer Services Department.
+ Apply '5S' and LEAN manufacturing techniques to the workplace.
+ Report any difficulties, problems, or concerns to the Supervisor.
+ Conduct other Product Technical Services tasks as requested by the Supervisor.
+ Understand and comply with company and departmental policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in electronics, oscilloscopes, and schematic testing.
+ Proficiency in electronics testing, calibration, and validation.
+ Skill in electronic repair and electromechanical assembly.
+ Ability to solder and read blueprints.
+ Knowledge of electrical wiring and circuit testing.
+ Troubleshooting skills in electronic and electrical components.
+ Ability to operate systems (Windows/Linux) and communication networks.
+ Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's Degree or higher in Electronics education.
+ Aptitude or experience with soldering techniques (IPC 610, J-STD or similar).
+ Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
+ Preferred: Valid passport and ability to travel internationally for initial training.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a climate-controlled production facility. 1st shift Monday-Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
