    Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic who can independently perform all maintenance functions for building machinery, mechanical equipment, and physical structures. The candidate should offer recommendations on improved methods and alternatives and instruct other maintenance personnel on proper procedures.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform all duties and responsibilities required of Maintenance Mechanics “B” without supervision.

    + Responsible for machine guarding throughout the facility and making repairs or upgrades to new or existing machinery in manufacturing and printing departments.

    + Demonstrate considerable mechanical ability, wire welding experience (preferably TIG), and experience with machine guarding from repair to fabricating new guarding.

    + Conduct regular mechanical inspections and make or recommend repairs or parts replacement.

    + Consult on improved methods or alternatives for maintenance processes.

    + Assist other maintenance mechanics and work with personnel on projects requiring coordinated efforts, including moving machinery and installing new or existing lines.

    + Clean work area, machines, and equipment, and return unused materials and supplies to storage.

    + Perform maintenance work on production lines, punch presses, body makers, injection molding presses, chutes and conveyors, lithograph presses, coaters, ovens, and compressors.

    + Use mechanic's tools and equipment, calipers, gauges, micrometers, engineering drawings, power fork lift truck, and machine shop equipment proficiently.

    + Monitor building and equipment for proper safety and inform supervision of any unsafe conditions.

    + Push, pull, or lift heavy objects up to approximately 60lbs.

    + Work during late evening, early morning, or other unscheduled hours for necessary emergency repairs.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.

    + Proficiency in preventive maintenance, hand tools, mechanical and electrical experience.

    + Press maintenance experience, installation, blueprint reading, troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and 3-phase systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to use mechanic's tools and equipment, calipers, gauges, micrometers, engineering drawings, power fork lift truck, and machine shop equipment.

    + Considerable mechanical ability and wire welding experience (TIG desired)

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
