Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking skilled CNC Operators to join our team, specializing in setting up and operating a variety of CNC machines including vertical and horizontal models such as Doosan, Johnford, Makino, Mitsubishi, Haas, and Rockford/MTE Rail. We are open to candidates with CNC Lathe experience, although a preference is given to those with Milling experience. The role involves performing setups, operating machines, changing tools, adjusting speeds and feeds, and conducting daily changeovers.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate vertical and horizontal CNC machines, including Doosan, Johnford, Makino, Mitsubishi, Haas, and Rockford/MTE Rail models.

+ Perform tool changes, adjust speeds and feeds, change out spindles, and conduct machine changeovers daily.

+ Read blueprints or prints to machine parts accurately.

+ Drill and tap holes as required.

+ Perform quality checks on parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and visual inspection.

+ Program machines using G&M Code.

+ Work efficiently in a job shop/production run environment.

+ Use shop math to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ year of experience with CNC Mills or CNC Lathes, or recent completion of trade school.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Proficiency in programming using G&M Code; experience with Mastercam is a plus.

+ Capability to set up, operate, and adjust CNC machines, including changing tooling and adjusting speeds and feeds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in a job shop environment is a plus.

+ Experience with MasterCAM or Solidworks at the machine is advantageous.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Baltimore, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
