    HOUSEKEEPER

    Job Description

    You will be responsible for cleaning non-occupied patient rooms in a rehabilitation center. This involves deep cleaning, making beds, flipping mattresses, and thoroughly disinfecting the entire room. Handling linens includes placing them into a large, heavy bag and ensuring they are properly disposed of. You will also be required to clean isolation rooms, adhering to strict safety measures, which includes mopping with a string mop and wearing a full gown and mask.

    Responsibilities

    + Clean non-occupied patient rooms thoroughly, ensuring deep cleaning standards are met.

    + Make beds, flip mattresses, and disinfect entire rooms.

    + Properly handle and dispose of linens by placing them in heavy bags.

    + Clean isolation rooms while following strict safety protocols, including wearing protective gear.

    + Interact professionally with patients, nurses, doctors, and the housekeeping team.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in cleaning, janitorial, or housekeeping roles.

    + Strong attendance record with punctuality and reliability.

    + Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    + Ability to lift 50lbs and push 200lbs.

    + Minimum of 6 months of hospital or hotel cleaning experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Direct experience in hospital environments.

    Work Environment

     

    You will work primarily independently in a hospital setting where being a self-starter is crucial. Adherence to dress code is required, including covering tattoos and avoiding facial piercings and heavy fragrances. The position is on the 1st shift, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, TX.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $18.00/hr.
