    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

    + Support the development and execution of C.H. Robinson’s government relations strategy across federal, state, and international jurisdictions as needed.

    + Build and maintain relationships with U.S. and international policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to advance C.H. Robinson’s policy priorities.

    + Monitor, analyze, and interpret legislative and regulatory developments at the federal, state, and/or local levels that impact the company’s operations and strategic objectives affecting the logistics, supply chain, technology, AI, and transportation sectors.

    + Partner and collaborate with internal teams (e.g., legal, communications, compliance, operations) to assess policy implications and align advocacy efforts.

    + Represent C.H. Robinson in trade associations, coalitions, and policy forums to enhance the company’s visibility and influence.

    + Develop briefing materials, policy summaries, and advocacy content for internal and external stakeholders.

    + Coordinate executive engagement with government officials and support leadership participation in policy discussions and industry events.

    + Ensure compliance with all applicable lobbying, ethics, and disclosure regulations

    + Assist in managing the C.H. Robinson Political Action Committee (PAC) and representing the PAC at fundraisers

    + Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements.

    Required Qualifications:

    + 6+ years’ experience in either public sector roles (e.g., Capitol Hill, federal agencies), private sector government affairs, and/or trade association settings.

    + Minimum 4 years’ experience in government affairs, public policy, and/or regulatory roles.

    + Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Advanced degree such as a Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Public Policy (MPP), and/or related field

    + Prior experience in the technology, logistics, supply chain, or transportation industries is strongly preferred

    + Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of Programs

    + Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills.

    + Demonstrated success in advancing policy objectives through legislative and regulatory engagement.

    + Strong understanding of the U.S. legislative and regulatory process; international policy experience is a plus.

    + Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization.

    Compensation Range

     

    $75,900.00 - $168,500.00

     

    The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
