Repair Technician
Job Description
As a Repair Technician, you will be responsible for performing assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of FAA-approved temperature-controlled containers. You will manage the warehouse and oversee material movement, ensuring containers are delivered clean and defect-free. Additionally, you will respond to customer technical assistance requests, provide training on CSafe FAA-approved Active Systems, and maintain detailed documentation of all work performed. Monitoring spare parts stock and maintaining a clean, safe, and operational repair facility are also key responsibilities.
Responsibilities
+ Perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of FAA-approved temperature-controlled containers.
+ Manage warehouse and material movement.
+ Patch holes and perform deriveting and riveting on cargo containers.
+ Deliver containers that are clean and free from defects affecting operation or performance.
+ Respond to technical assistance requests from customers.
+ Provide training and demonstrations of CSafe FAA-approved Active Systems.
+ Document all work performed using CATS and CSafe WO system.
+ Monitor stock of spare parts.
+ Pick up and drop off RKNs from/to customers.
+ Maintain repair facility in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.
+ Experience in assembly or repair, preferably in structural repair, aviation, sheet metal, HVAC, or electrical.
+ Basic electrical knowledge.
+ At least 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Mechanical experience beyond assembly line work.
+ Experience in HVAC or construction is beneficial.
+ Connection to aviation or Part 145 experience is a plus.
+ Prior military experience is advantageous.

Work Environment
The repair facility is located at ORD and serves airlines, freight forwarders, and life sciences companies with cold chain shipping solutions. The warehouse is very clean, though not temperature-controlled, and operates during the 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
