    Position Description

    This position is part of the Indy RLT manufacturing finance team, responsible for supporting core accounting processes and ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls across all relevant financial activities. The position also partners closely with site functions and other finance teams to ensure timely financial reporting, resolve discrepancies, and maintain data integrity. The role requires strong attention to detail across Indy RLT’s financial transactions to ensure appropriate accounting and controls, as well as assisting with product costing initiatives.

     

    Key Objectives/Deliverables

     

    + Responsible for processing accounting transactions in NetSuite (ERP system), ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls across all relevant financial activities. This includes processing invoices and journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes as they pertain to the site.

    + Partner with other site functions and other finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial recording and reporting. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies, streamline processes, and uphold data integrity throughout all financial transactions.

    + Ensure appropriate accounting and provide appropriate accounting direction on matters such as capital, liabilities, and prepaid assets.

    + Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) controls related requests from internal and external auditors.

    + Partner with central finance teams to deliver corporate requests and support resolving issues as a part of the manufacturing finance team.

    + Assist in various product costing initiatives as needed.

    Basic Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting; or relevant area

    + Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Finance

    + Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting

    + Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.

     

    Additional Skills/Preferences

     

    + Familiarity with planning, forecasting, and reporting processes and systems at Lilly is a plus

    + Working knowledge of SAP and NetSuite financial transactions including those used for accounting, planning and forecasting

    + Previous experience / exposure to manufacturing operations and cost accounting

    + Strong desire to learn and intellectually curious

    + Strong interest in continuous improvement

    + Ability to communicate effectively across functions and levels

    + Strong business partnering skills

    + Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Strong technical skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, and willingness to adapt to and leverage new technologies.

    + > 10% Travel

    Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

     

    $58,500 - $137,500

     

    Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
