    We are currently looking for a Manager Facilities Engineering for our Houston, TX office.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    Responsibilities: Be an example for others to follow; represent BW’s core values (Safety, Reliability, Innovation, Impact); leads the development and improvement of employee performance; establishes performance and career development plans for each employee and conducts annual STI performance reviews; identify needs for and manage contract employees; develop, manage, and update engineering, material, and equipment specifications; manage the standardization of engineered equipment and supplier performance; manage project engineering related documentation and management of information as related to project record and close out requirements; ensure engineering quality control expectations and performance; foster discipline of engineering staff to take ownership of approved project budgets and schedules and provides value added forecasting inputs to the project team; ensures engineering is aware of project schedules and ensures the team meats expectations and communicates changes in any critical milestones to the project team; advises and participates in upper management presentations and technical discussions; takes the lead to innovate new engineering processes and methods and implement new technologies that can help save money and time in project execution; be able to communicate and implement management initiatives for your direct reports;

    REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Minimum 10 years of experience in the engineering, design, project management, or construction of interstate natural gas facilities (pipelines, compressor stations, meter stations, storage, other)

    + Strong technical writing capabilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Minimum 3 years of proven ability to manage a dynamic project team, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.

    + Well organized with a high degree of initiative and motivation. Demonstrates self-motivation, creativity, foresight, focus on safety, and sound engineering judgement

    + Strong technical knowledge of industry and regulatory standards (API, FERC, ASME, ANSI, NEC, CFR 195/192, API, ASCE, and others)

    + Ability to work positively and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment

    + Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

    PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Licensed PE

    + 5 years of experience in project management

    + Experience in the development of design specifications or standards

    + Experience with the procurement of engineered equipment

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    + BS in any Engineering Discipline
