•** **Job Purpose

The **Dishwasher / Utility Worker** plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our dining operations. This position assists with **food preparation** , ensures proper **sanitation and maintenance of kitchen equipment** , and supports the dietary team in delivering high-quality meals to residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities

+ ✅ Follow diet orders and NPO diet guidelines.

+ ✅ Assist cooks in preparing meals, desserts, and snacks (e.g., salads, desserts, sandwiches).

+ ✅ Use proper **food handling processes and safety procedures** .

+ ✅ Deliver trays to residents and serve meals in the dining area.

+ ✅ Prepare between-meal nourishments and offer menu substitutions per guidelines.

+ ✅ Follow procedures for serving partner meals.

+ ✅ Maintain **cleaning, sanitizing, and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment** .

+ ✅ Communicate warmly and professionally with residents, families, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.

+ Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Previous **food service or food preparation experience** preferred.

+ Experience in **long-term care dietary services** is a plus.
