Air Traffic Control Systems Engineer / National Data Administrator (NDA):

ATEC is looking for an experienced Air Traffic Control Systems Engineer to support National Data Administrator (NDA) engineering functions across the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of National Data Administration capabilities. This role requires strong air traffic control domain knowledge, along with expertise in requirements and system/user interface development for ATC systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

+ Support full lifecycle engineering and technical development for NDA functions.

+ Participate in and contribute to DA Workgroups and CHI Workgroups for DA positions and templates.

+ Develop detailed Use Cases, Test Cases, and Procedures tied to system requirements.

+ Conduct requirements analysis, documentation reviews, and development oversight.

+ Monitor development activities, ensuring alignment with operational and technical needs.

+ Support DA Tools and software transition planning and deployment activities.

+ Develop and maintain NDA-related policies, procedures, and documentation.

+ Serve as an NDA representative during E-IDS field implementation and operational activities.

+ Facilitate and participate in technical meetings and stakeholder coordination.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

Required:

+ Air Traffic Control experience (operational background preferred).

+ Experience developing User Computer-Human Interface (CHI) for air traffic control systems.

+ Proven experience developing detailed Use Cases, Test Cases, and Procedures.

+ Strong background in requirements development and systems engineering.

+ Ability to collaborate in technical forums and lead workgroup-level engagement.

+ Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.

Preferred:

+ Experience supporting FAA programs, NAS systems, or field deployments.

+ Familiarity with E-IDS, AIMM, NOTAMs, or related FAA systems/tools.

+ Experience with transition planning and system integration for fielded systems.

EDUCATION/YEARS of EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

+ 30+ years of experience with a BA/BS degree in an air traffic related field is required. For all levels, experience is Air Traffic Control (ATC) full performance level (FPL) experience or equivalent (e.g. military controller, contract tower, commercial dispatch operations, etc.). Candidate must have ATC experience in any of the following: Terminal, Enroute, Oceanic, Traffic Flow Management, or Flight Service Station. An additional five years experience may be substituted for the degree stated.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

+ US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

+ Remote and/or On-Site @ William J. Hughes Technical Center, Pomona, NJ ? customize as needed

+ Minimal travel required; occasional travel may be needed for stakeholder meetings, field implementation, or testing events.

PAY RANGE:

+ $90/hr plus depending on experience
