Amergis EducationalStaffing is actively hiring Special Education Teachers for the 2025–2026 school year.These School Aides work directly with students who need instructional orbehavioral support, under the supervision of the special education departmentor designated staff. Responsibilities may also include assisting with personalcare, physical mobility, and therapeutic needs as directed by licensedprofessionals.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
+ Develops and implements Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations.
+ Designs and delivers differentiated instruction to meet academic, behavioral, and functional goals for students with diverse needs.
+ Creates and adapts lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and IEP objectives.
+ Utilizes evidence-based strategies for classroom management and positive behavior support.
+ Collaborates with general education teachers to support inclusion and co-teaching models when appropriate.
+ Communicates regularly with families, related service providers (PT, OT, SLP), and clinical staff regarding student progress.
+ Monitors and documents student performance, adjusting instruction based on data and observations.
+ Facilitates social skills development and promotes independence in daily living activities.
+ Maintains compliance with confidentiality standards and all applicable laws and regulations.
+ Participates in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training to enhance instructional practices.
MinimumRequirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
