Special Education Teacher
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Remainder of 2025–2026 School Year (possible ESY openings)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Monday–Friday; start/end times vary by school)
Overview:
The Special Education Teacher provides high-quality educational services to students in grades K–12 under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. Responsibilities include planning and implementing individualized programs, delivering specialized instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to support student success.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ Valid Delaware teaching certificate with SPED endorsement (or general education teachers comfortable teaching SPED population)
+ Minimum 1 year of teaching experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
+ Provide specialized instruction and tutorial assistance
+ Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
+ Maintain compliance with professional standards and school policies
