Minimum Qualifications
•Ph.D. in English preferred, ABO considered, with a dissertation or specialty in English literature before I 660.
•The ability to teach first-year composition classes, introductory literature courses for majors and non-majors, and more specialized classes in English literature before 1660.
Job Duties and Other Information
The position's teaching responsibilities are expected to include the first half of a year-long English literature survey for majors as well as first-year composition classes, introductory literature courses for majors and non-majors, and more specialized classes in English literature before 1660. Therefore, we seek a candidate who will provide high-quality instruction in undergraduate and graduate English courses, in both face-to-face and online settings. Teaching load will be 4/4. Candidates also should demonstrate a willingness to assist with the recruitment and retention of students and dedication to a promising research agenda.
