This position is responsible for administering the DCFS Vehicle Management Program and the DCFS Fuel Card Program. Located within Administrative, Training, and Safety Services section of the Division of Management and Finance, this is a highly responsible position which independently oversees and manages the DCFS Fleet of vehicles statewide.
This vacancy is located in the Baton Rouge Region in Baton Rouge, LA.

Minimum Qualifications
Four years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR
An advanced degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Serves as the Vehicle Management Help Desk for all DCFS field and regional offices.
+ Ensures DCFS field and regional offices are in compliance with rules and regulations, policies, and procedures of the DCFS Vehicle Management Program.
+ Reviews and updates each Vehicle Maintenance Schedule to ensure vehicles are adequately maintained.
+ Coordinates repairs and maintenance as required by the DOA/ORM.
+ Maintains secure files of all original Certificates of Title and Registration on all DCFS state owned departmental vehicles.
+ Maintains fuel credit card issuance (WEX) and updates records using the WEX Online portal that tracks the assignment of these cards.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
