About the Role

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced **C-17 Product Repair/Modifications Technician** to support the **C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program** . This position plays a critical role in maintaining and modifying aerospace systems to ensure mission readiness and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace vehicle systems to correct failures or implement changes.

+ Oversee assembly, disassembly, and overhaul processes.

+ Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.

+ Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and repair faults.

+ Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components.

+ Document procedures and ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.

+ Inspect components and verify repairs for flight-worthiness requirements.

+ Provide training and guidance to team members.

+ Work under general direction and maintain required certifications.

Basic Qualifications

+ **U.S. Citizenship** required; ability to obtain a **U.S. Secret Security Clearance** .

+ Minimum **3 years' experience** working from heights using fall protection equipment (weight limit: 225 lbs or lower).

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

+ Experience detecting hazardous conditions and ensuring safety compliance.

+ Skilled in repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Knowledge of live aircraft operations and support, including pneumatic, hydraulic, structural, electrical, and propulsion systems.

+ Minimum **3 years of C-17 platform experience** .

+ Ability to read and interpret C-17 blueprints and USAF Technical Orders.

+ Multi-system maintenance and repair experience.

+ Strong focus on safety and quality in complex operational environments.

Education & Experience

+ High School diploma/GED and **4+ years of related experience** , or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate degree + 2 years).
