Role Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and safety-driven Corrosion Supervisor to lead and support our team in the construction, maintenance, and operation of natural gas distribution and transmission systems. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our pipeline infrastructure through effective corrosion control, leakage surveys, and oversight of pipeline equipment and facilities. This position requires a proactive leader who can coordinate complex projects, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure adherence to both company and regulatory standards.
What You Will Do
Supervises employees in construction, maintenance, and operation of distribution and systems for a geographic area or metro service facility.
Supervise employees in construction, maintenance, and operation of distribution and systems and appurtenances including:
+ Line extensions
+ Distribution lines
+ Purchasing tools and materials
+ Corrosion control
+ Leakage survey
Oversee and inspect installation and operation of pipeline equipment and facilities including:
+ Meter/regulator settings
+ Tapping/pressure control equipment
+ Pressure tests (air, gas, water)
Inspect, evaluate, and recommend whether to repair or replace pipe and appurtenances.
Schedule and conduct safety and training sessions for employees.
Provide information, consultation, and assistance to customers, contractors, inspectors, city/county/state officials, employees, and others relative to company activities, policies, and procedures.
Compile, prepare, and verify information including:
+ Operating activities
+ Completion reports
+ Accident reports
+ DriveCam reports
+ Employee documentation
+ Service cards/leak reports
+ MAXIMO
+ Department metrics reports
+ Various budget recommendations
+ Customer correspondence
+ O&M and capital budgets
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Experience with and working knowledge of the construction, maintenance, appurtenances, and operation of pipeline systems related to natural gas distribution systems.
Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including accessing computers and related software.
Application of basic math and algebraic formulas.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate work projects for most effective use of personnel and equipment.
Experience and training related to:
+ Distribution pipeline operation (specified by position)
+ Transmission pipeline operation (specified by position)
+ Company/governmental operating and safety procedures
+ Emergency response procedures
+ Communications skills
+ Customer service functions
Demonstrated ability to monitor operations and situations to ensure compliance with safety policies, operator qualifications and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to interact, advise, and communicate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to train, direct, and/or supervise; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to compile and prepare reports, recommendations, and correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret manuals, policies, procedures, permits, governmental regulations, engineering plans, maps, job specifications, reports, and correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Minimum Applicable driver's license to travel to job sites throughout operating service area.
Minimum National Association of Corrosion Engineer (NACE) Certification: Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) Certification.
Preferred Oklahoma and Texas: CDL preferred.
Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out-of-doors.
Able to assist crew members in performance of routine and/or emergency activities such as construction and maintenance; leakage detection and repair; and corrosion control. Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and/or exchange verbal and written information and instructions; conduct oral presentations.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
