We are searching for the best talent for a **Software Engineer II – Applied Sciences and AI** to be in **Danvers, MA.**
Job Summary
As a Software Engineer II, you’ll contribute to medical device software projects (SiMD/SaMD) and collaborate **onsite at our Danvers, MA office at least 3 days a week** .
Key Responsibilities
+ Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using modern front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React.js/Angular/Vue.js) and back-end frameworks (Elixir/Phoenix or similar), incorporating Embedded C and Python as needed.
+ Deliver robust embedded software and hardware solutions, including fixture designs and custom programming.
+ Write efficient, reusable embedded code to interface with sensors, actuators, and communication modules.
+ Implement algorithms for processing and visualizing sensor and telemetry datasets under senior guidance.
+ Collaborate on requirements gathering, prototyping, design, documentation, feature implementation, and deployment.
+ Participate in code reviews using Git-based workflows and write clean, well-documented code.
+ Support system architecture design, API integration, and performance optimization for scalable and secure applications.
+ Follow IEC 62304-compliant processes and contribute to verification and validation activities.
+ Support risk management for medical device products and apply cybersecurity best practices.
+ Maintain design specifications for embedded software aligned with project requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
+ 2–3 years of experience in software development (front-end and back-end; internships and academic projects accepted).
+ Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
+ Experience or willingness to learn new programming languages and technologies for embedded software development.
+ Hands-on experience working in an embedded Linux environment.
+ Familiarity with RESTful or GraphQL APIs and version control systems (Git).
Preferred Qualifications
+ Familiar with software development life cycle for medical devices or any other regulated industry
+ Familiar with software and cyber security risk assessments
+ Experience working in a mid to large agile team
+ Exposure to test automation frameworks and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $92,000 to $148,000 annually.
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
• The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
