Overview
Come join the CG-PD Tax Content team as a Manager 2, Tax Content.** **CG-PD Tax Content delivers world class tax compliance and experiences to consumers and tax pros in the US and Canada to enable our users to file accurate and complete income tax returns.
Responsibilities
People Leadership:
+ Lead and coordinate all activities for a team developing tax content, ensuring timely delivery.
+ Oversee individual and team performance, identifying and addressing training and development needs.
+ Mentor and develop Tax Analysis Programmers to build a strong talent pipeline.
Technical Craft & Tax Expertise:
+ Lead the team in analyzing and interpreting complex tax law, anticipating and communicating upcoming changes.
+ Guide the translation of tax law into robust, complex code and partner with engineering to improve tools and workflows.
+ Champion software best practices, agile development, and operational excellence.
Execution Excellence:
+ Drive collaboration with adjacent teams to solve problems and ensure thorough project planning and execution.
+ Utilize data to identify critical work, inform team strategy, and resolve barriers.
+ Develop scalable solutions for large-scale, abstract problems.
Customer-Centric Outcomes & Team Acceleration:
+ Use data to influence product and technology decisions.
+ Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
+ Elevate the team's collective knowledge and skills through collaboration and mentorship.
Qualifications
Qualifications
+ BS/MS in Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
+ 8-10 years of experience in tax and/or software development
+ Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams.
+ Ability to demonstrate and motivate the team towards adoption of AI across product development and in day-to-day work.
+ Ability to think and act strategically for all stakeholders.
+ Experience with Agile development and methodologies
+ Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Building strong teams - set and evangelize vision, facilitative leadership, attract and retain key talent
