Join the Night Program at UPMC Northwest!
Our Medical Oncology Unit (3 South) is seeking a dedicated Professional Staff Nurse for a full-time Night Program role. This position offers three night shifts per week, participation in weekend and holiday rotations, and an enhanced $4.00/hour night differential (standard $2.00 plus an additional $2.00 exclusive to the program). Candidates must have at least six months of RN experience.

Responsibilities:
+ Deliver high-quality care using the nursing process and Relationship-Based Care model; set daily goals, communicate clearly with the care team, and ensure thorough documentation.
+ Build positive, collaborative relationships with patients, families, and colleagues while promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive work environment.
+ Provide effective patient and family education using adult learning principles; support the growth of students and new staff, including serving as a preceptor.
+ Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in shared governance, unit initiatives, and change efforts to enhance the practice environment.
+ Contribute to quality improvement by identifying opportunities, supporting evidence-based practice, and helping improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
+ Minimum of six months of RN experience
+ Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to build positive working relationships with patients, families, physicians, and team members across the organization.
+ Physical ability to meet job demands, including frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning.
Licensure & Certifications
+ Current RN license or Temporary Practice Permit; must obtain full licensure within required timelines.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) required per AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
