The Opportunity
Join BAE Systems' Infrastructure Management Center and be part of a dynamic team tackling complex technical challenges that support national security. As a key leader, you'll oversee our internal BAE Systems portfolio, driving modernization efforts for nuclear missions and ammunition plant infrastructure, and many other critical projects. With a portfolio representing billions of dollars in work, you'll lead planning, design, and analysis activities to construct or maintain vital Department of War infrastructure. Based at Hill AFB, Utah, with occasional travel to project sites, this role offers growth opportunities as new programs are added to the team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, engineering, and leadership, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix-type organization, where resources are shared across multiple programs and departments. They will be able to navigate complex organizational structures, build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across multiple departments, prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively, and communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers, while possessing a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and digital tools.
The Role
+ Program Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and develop program plans to meet those needs
+ Team Leadership: Lead and influence a team of engineers and program managers across multiple departments to achieve program goals and objectives
+ Scope Capture: Develop and manage program/project scope to ensure alignment with customer requirements and business objectives
+ Schedule Management: Create and manage program schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects and programs
+ Task Tracking: Track and report on task progress to ensure program milestones are met
+ Performance Management: Clearly communicate job expectations and performance goals to team members; monitor and appraise job results; provide coaching and counseling as needed
+ Quality Control: Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure program deliverables meet customer requirements and industry standards
+ Resource Allocation: Coordinate with department managers to allocate resources and prioritize tasks to meet program requirements
+ Communication: Facilitate communication among team members, stakeholders, and customers to ensure program goals and objectives are met
+ Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to program success; develop and implement risk management plans
+ Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to improve program efficiency and effectiveness

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Program Management Experience: 10 years of program management experience in a matrix-type organization
+ Engineering Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
+ Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
+ Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Project Management: Experience with project management tools and techniques, such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
+ Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and departments
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification: PMP certification
+ Matrix Organization Experience: Experience working in a matrix-type organization
+ Digital Tools: Working knowledge of digital tools, such as project management software, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Aided Drafting among others
+ Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $133333 - $226667
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
