The selected candidate will apply their design and factory support skills in order to develop and support our Design it Right initiative for a variety of complex defense products and technologies. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to acquire product knowledge, use and advance their technical skills on innovative technology.
The duties assigned to this principal engineering position, will include the following:
+ Translating system requirements into compliant complex mechanical designs
+ Technical trade studies, evaluation of technology insertion/upgrades, laboratory test and troubleshooting.
+ Design and develop complex motion systems, electronics packaging, opto-mechanical structures and supports and/or other complex systems
+ Ensure manufacturability as products transition to production
+ Engage, mentor and lead junior engineers as they navigate their early careers
It will be expected that the candidate be proficient in state-of-the-art design and analysis tools, laboratory equipment and techniques, and executing in a small team environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment that encourages leadership and technical growth.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6 years of Experience
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Knowledge of engineering fundamentals of mechanical design and analysis
+ Experience with mechanical engineering development software tools
+ Experience developing mechanical designs for harsh environments
+ Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness
+ Active DOD Security Clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Experience with ANSYS, PTC Creo, GD&T, leading small teams
+ Familiarity with AS9145 compliant processes
+ Experience in transitioning engineering designs to production environments
+ Experience in the design/development of opto-mechanical systems
+ Experience in the design and manufacture of electronic circuit card assemblies
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
