Job Description

A Risk Solutions company is looking for a Java Developer with Azure DevOps/Operational troubleshooting experience to join their team to prepare the infrastructure for an upcoming multi-year platform modernization effort into Databricks. The ideal resources will have Azure DevOps experience utilizing GitHub Actions, ETL/data processing knowledge, operations/troubleshooting experience, experience writing end to end test suites for Java based apps (expertise with integration and load testing), and core Java development. It is critical that these candidates have excellent communication skills because they will be presenting on stand ups and interacting with high level internal stakeholders. This team works in a hybrid model onsite in Dayton, OH 1X/week. The pay rate for this role ranges based off years of experience between $60-70/hour.

Skills and Requirements

-8+ years' of Java development experience

-End to end testing - integration and load testing of Java applications

-Experience writing out test suite for Java based apps

-Deep Azure Cloud experience: Databricks, Azure DevOps, ADF, etc.

-CI/CD with GitHub Actions

-Understanding of how large data sets are processed - ETL

-Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.

-Strong understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles.

-Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.

-Ability to interface competently with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements

-Operational/troubleshooting experience * Python/PySpark

* PowerBI for visualizations
