Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Data Programmer Analyst to join their team. This role will be responsible for implementing and supporting business rules within the data quality framework and participating in the full data quality lifecycle from requirements elicitation through ongoing support. The candidate will develop technical components to meet business requirements and resolve data incidents, playing a key role in defining the data quality program, including policy, process, standards, and tools. Responsibilities include translating business concerns into technical specifications, building quality rules, performing data profiling, analyzing results, triaging anomalies, and supporting data quality dashboards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in SQL, data transformation tools, and data profiling platforms, as well as experience with cloud data warehouses and reporting tools. This position requires excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Skills and Requirements

Strong understanding of data structures, data types, and data transformation

Experience with SQL and data transformation/analytics tools (Informatica, Talend, Alteryx)

Ability to read, analyze, and debug SQL

Experience or willingness to learn data profiling/quality tools (Collibra, Ataccama, Informatica, OEDQ)

Experience or willingness to learn SparkSQL and Databricks

Bachelor’s degree in IT-related discipline or equivalent experience

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills

Ability to work independently and follow through to resolution

Strong verbal and written communication skills Data modeling experience

Experience with Cloud Data Warehouse products (Snowflake, Azure Synapse)

Experience using reporting tools like Power BI for data quality visualizations

Experience with Python, Scala, or Java

Knowledge of restaurant or retail business

5+ years in BI/Data Warehouse/Data Lake projects

1+ years on Data Quality and Governance initiatives

Experience with Azure Data Factory and data integration patterns
