    What you'll do...

     

    VIZIO/Walmart is seeking a passionate and experienced **Senior Android Engineer** to join our Mobile Engineering team, building cutting-edge mobile applications that power the VIZIO experience across smartphones and tablets. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-performance, user-centric features using modern Android technologies.

    Responsibilities:

    + Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using **Kotlin** , **Jetpack Compose** , and **MVVM architecture** .

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

    + Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

    + Write clean, scalable, and testable code following best practices.

    + Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring junior developers.

    + Integrate with backend services and SDKs, including VIZIO’s proprietary APIs and HubSDK.

    + Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and app infrastructure improvements.

    + Stay current with the latest Android development trends and advocate for their adoption.

    Qualifications:

    + **Bachelor’s or Master’s degree** in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or **equivalent professional experience** .

    + 5+ years of professional Android development experience.

    + Strong proficiency in **Kotlin** and modern Android frameworks.

    + Hands-on experience with **Jetpack Compose** , **Coroutines** , and **Android Architecture Components** .

    + Deep understanding of **MVVM** , dependency injection (e.g., Hilt/Dagger), and reactive programming.

    + Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party SDK integrations.

    + Familiarity with tools like Git, Gradle, Android Studio, and CI/CD systems.

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience working on media or streaming apps.

    + Familiarity with multi-module architecture and Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM).

    + Knowledge of accessibility, localization, and performance optimization.

    + Experience with Firebase, analytics, and crash reporting tools.

    The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
