Where is the work:

+ Flexible Location Day: On Fridays enjoy the flexibility to work from a location that best suits your productivity and personal needsThis **Forward Deployed Engineer** will be mentored to become responsible for unit control integration for Trane Air-cooled Data Center Chillers. Interpretation of customer design requirements for the main unit control panel and auxiliary panel designs and layout. Responsibilities then include integrating low voltage sensors, wired interconnection devices, and Trane developed HVAC control electronics.Configuration and qualification of electrical and electro-mechanical power components and control wiring. This position will oversee their control wiring designs and control panel prototypes into production. Create customer and engineering documentation. Testing and diagnostics for customer testing in the factory.
The selected candidate must have the technical expertise to develop and lead product design projects, supervise product validation testing, drive to root cause for quality and reliability issues, interpret technical agency standards, and conduct projects in accordance with standard engineering practices.
Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added):
+ Work with product management and application engineering to understand product requirements
+ Develop control strategies to meet or exceed product requirements
+ Utilize effective communication techniques to help customers and team members implement the design strategy
+ Lead dynamic controls testing, test planning, run test support, and data analysis.
+ Integrate new electrical hardware into product to support data center control strategies
+ Able to travel overnight 5% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering and at least 3-years of relevant work experience is required.
Key Competencies:
+ Strong interest in Data Center applications and operating conditions for refrigeration equipment
+ Competency in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint) required
+ Classical control knowledge (PID control, linear control, digital filtering)
+ Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and orally
+ Computer skills Java, C++, C with ability to learn new programming languages
+ Ability to lead a root cause analysis on pre-production equipment and during equipment commissioning
+ Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
+ Must be tenacious with quality and customer service orientation
+ Basic experience with 3D-CAD applications is a plus
Compensation:
Annual Salary Range: $83,000 - $125,000 USD
