Job Summary:
Trane has a new exciting opportunity to join our organization as a VRF/Ductless Applications Sales Specialist. In this position you will be providing support in the technical design, sales, pricing, availability and application of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) / Ductless Mini-Split / Hydronic and Applied Products, as well as other Mitsubishi Electric offerings that come available. This role works closely with internal Trane account managers, as well as external engineer, contractor, owner and developer customers, plus others to support the overall Ductless Sales Specialist functions.
What You Will Do
• Responsible for providing VRF sales solutions that involve teaming with Account Managers in assigned territory.
• Monitor, measure, and modify current processes to effectively and efficiently meet customer needs.
• Provide superior customer experience utilizing all internal & external resources.
• Build consultative relationships and trust with engineering, owner, and contracting customers.
• Assist, as required in estimating, submittals, and order entry.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, advising corrective action, and communicating with customers, and co-workers.
• Support engineers and design-build contractors with design, application, and code compliance.
• Gather and validate preliminary information and perform facility walk throughs, construction plan review or other requirements.
• Work with account managers to determine proposal price and selling strategy.
• Provide commercial and high-level technical product sales training to area office personnel and customers as required.
• Identify product gaps, develop solutions to minimize the impact, and work with Account Managers to prioritize and eliminate gaps.
• Responsible for keeping abreast of external market conditions and internal requirements related to portfolio. This includes energy rebates, tax incentives, and code within assigned territory.
• Responsible for internal communication flow to and from the VRF Product Sales Manager regarding Trane VRF and ductless.
What you will bring:
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology with a minimum of three years’ experience in the application, selection, and/or installation of VRF systems; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Working knowledge of all facets of construction including mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, etc. preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational skills and record keeping.
• Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory.
• Driver License, Valid and in State Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years. within 1 Year
Compensation:** **
Base Pay Range: $95,000 - $135,000 plus incentive
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, and geographic location where the work is performed.
