Responsibilities

Organize and coordinate activities and workflows for market ministries' and national spiritual care services. Ensure optimization of clinical coverage, associate education and development, and collaboration with national initiatives.

+ Serve as a member of the spiritual care leadership team to implement market-wide and/or national strategies, directions, policies, and procedures.

+ Provide guidance on strategic priorities as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team by serving as a knowledgeable, ethical, and religious resource for patients, families and healthcare providers.

+ Oversee department staff to ensure the provision of quality pastoral care. Coordinate staff assignments to ensure appropriate pastoral coverage.

Requirements

Required Credential(s):

+ Board Certification from the APC, NACC, CASC, or the NAJC at time of hire or obtained within 2 years of hire or risk of termination if not obtained within two years. For those not board certified at time of hire or job transfer, ecclesiastical endorsement is required.

Education:

+ Master's degree in Divinity, Theology, Pastoral Studies or related field is required.

+ 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by ACPE is required.

Work Experience:

+ 1 year of experience required.

3 Years of Behavioral Health Chaplaincy Experience.

Skills Capacity to serve as Behavioral Health Educational Coordinator for Illinois Market.
