    Collins Aerospace in Bohemia, NY, is seeking a high-performing Administrative Coordinator who is energized by supporting complex operations and making a meaningful impact every day. In this role, you’ll support the Director of Operations and the Operations leadership team, partnering across union and non-union groups to drive business priorities forward.     What YOU will do

    + Manage complex calendars, prioritize meeting requests, and respond on behalf of the Director of Operations to ensure smooth workflow across the Operations organization.

    + Coordinate with contractors, service providers, and city/state agencies while ensuring accurate processing of billings and purchase requests.

    + Prepare for key meetings by organizing materials, setting pre-briefs, capturing action items, and maintaining follow-up systems to ensure deadlines are met.

    + Proactively identify opportunities to increase leader and team productivity, continuously improving administrative processes and anticipating the needs of the department.

    + Generate professional-quality charts, reports, correspondence, and presentations, enabling data-driven decisions and clear communication.

    + Support employee engagement efforts, coordinate events, manage office supplies, and uphold budgeting practices to keep operations running efficiently.

    + Solve routine problems, plan and manage assigned tasks with minimal guidance, and provide overtime support when required.

    What YOU will learn

    + How to work closely with senior leadership in a highly matrixed organization and strengthen your ability to influence operational efficiency.

    + How union and non-union operational environments function, gaining exposure to cross-functional workflows and business processes.

    Qualifications YOU Must Have

    + Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

    + 4+ years of experience in administrative support, project coordination, or a related role.

    + Prior experience preparing meeting materials, agendas, presentations, and capturing/communicating action items.

    + Prior experience managing calendars, coordinating meetings/events, processing expenses, and preparing data reports.

    Qualifications We Prefer

    + Demonstrated project management capabilities, including building strategies, defining actionable steps, and ensuring on-time completion.

    + Ability to understand operational workflows, exercise sound judgment, and work across a diverse, matrixed organization.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional presence and polished phone/reception etiquette.

    + Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, make quick decisions, and work proactively in a dynamic environment.

    + Experience supporting senior-level leadership.

    + Familiarity with MS Project.

    + Experience in technical writing, proofreading, and summarizing monthly reports and meeting minutes.

    The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 92,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

     

    Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

     

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
