We have an exciting **remote** opportunity for a highly skilled **Digital Technology SAP Planning Architect.**
What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney’s is seeking a highly experienced, highly motivated, and strategic SAP planning architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP solutions within our OEM and Aftermarket manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in SAP Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning, Material Planning, and related modules.
The individual will have a proven track record of architecting reusable and scalable solutions across business units and global operations that drive operational efficiency and align with complex business requirements.
This critical role will be responsible for defining the SAP roadmap for OEM and aftermarket planning, ensuring seamless integration across various SAP modules.
The scope will include the implementation/enhancement of standard planning processes and an enterprise software solution covering demand/supply planning, inventory optimization, SIOP, and planning simulations across OEM and aftermarket organizations.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, delivering robust SAP architecture that aligns with our business objectives.
This role will be pivotal in guiding our SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives and ensuring seamless integration across the enterprise landscape. The candidate will be an integral team member for large and small-scale advanced planning tool implementations as well as supporting existing SAP solutions.
The candidate will own shared understanding across the project spectrum from high-level business objectives to detailed functionality and will work with developers towards building and validating solutions to meet expected outcomes.
The individual selected for this role will work with internal teams as well as external partners including outsources and technology application vendors. This position requires hands-on experience in advanced planning tools, integration knowledge with SAP and non-SAP transactional systems.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, and develop SAP Production planning, Demand planning, and supply planning solutions to fit business and technical objectives.
- Lead the design and implementation of SAP PP/PPDS/APO and other planning solutions to support OE and AM manufacturing strategies (make-to-stock, make-to-order, etc.).
- Collaborate with stakeholders, (in production, supply chain, etc) to develop SAP roadmaps, to gather and analyze requirements and translating them into comprehensive functional and technical specifications.
- Provide expertise in SAP technologies such as S/4HANA, IBP, PP, MM, and SD
Provide technical expertise on configuring SAP PP and MM modules and act as an internal expert on SAP capabilities in the operations planning area
- Provide SME during implementations of operations planning projects leveraging our current planning applications such as SAP ECC, SAP IBP, Kinaxis Maestro and Talend integration tools.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior architects, developers, and functional teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Lead the design of future advanced planning solutions as the company transforms to SAP S/4 HANA journey.
- Researching and suggesting best practices related to various elements of Demand/Supply Planning, Operational Planning, and Inventory Optimization.
- Provide application design guidance and consultation, based on a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.
- Ensure logic and design is aligned with the core architecture of the systems / applications.
- Find and propose innovative solutions that enable process automation, leveraging best practices and technologies within the company’s application processes and architecture.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of current planning environments, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements to enhance performance, quality, and reliability.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information System, Information Technology, or related technical field and 12+ years of hands on applicable work experience; **OR** an Advanced degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical field and 10+ years of hands on applicable work experience.
- 12+ years as an SAP Architect or similar with SAP module understanding.
- Strong understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) and Aftermarket (AM) supply chain complexities, including multi-tier suppliers, global logistics, and inventory management.
- Hands on experience with SAP implementation, configuration, integration, S/4HANA, and relevant planning modules.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP PP, and familiarity with related modules such as SAP PPDS, MM, QM and PM.
- Strong understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturing (OE) and Aftermarket (AM) supply chain complexities, including multi-tier suppliers, global logistics, and inventory management.
- Knowledge in SAP MRP/Capacity Planning Processes, Inventory (IM), Warehouse Management (WM).
- Experience with implementing planning solutions in support of key aftermarket processes such as spare parts planning and forecasting, repair planning, inventory balancing, optimization and replenishment.
- Experience in master data, Bill of Materials, and Recipes/Routing, maintenance plans, in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of the different planning strategies for production (Made-to-order and made-to-stock).
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise strategies for diverse audiences.
- Experience in Finance (FI) integration as it relates to Production Planning.
- Hands on experience in configuring and supporting process design in leading advanced planning and forecasting solutions such as SAP IBP Demand, Response and Supply Planning, s4 PPDS, Production Planning/MRP, Kinaxis Rapid Response with strong understanding of the modules.
- Experience with industry standard ERP system implementations (waterfall and agile methodologies).
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing business environments.
- Ability to lead technical teams or lead projects.
- **U.S. citizenship is required** , due to government contract requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Relevant SAP certifications in Production Planning or S/4HANA.
- Experience with cloud platforms and SAP cloud solutions like BTP.
- Experience/knowledge working in an aerospace environment is highly desirable.
- Highly self-directed and able to learn quickly with a solid ability to drive and deliver results.
- Excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and professional maturity with executive presentation experience, comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
