As an Inventory Coordinator, you will act as a liaison between departments, especially nursing, and Supply Chain Management to ensure that inventory levels reflect the department's needs and are managed by established policies and procedures. This position is important in order to build growing departments, adding areas to blue bins or re-organizing current inventory locations. Inventory management directly impacts the care patients receive with ensuring the department has critical supplies at their time of need.
A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with flexible start times between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m.
_The position typically requires working one to two weekends per month, with two weekdays off during weeks when a weekend shift is scheduled._
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Maintain inventory integrity.
+ Resolve shipping and receiving issues directly with the vendor or carriers.
+ Monitor reports and resolve discrepancies.
+ Provide technical set up and maintenance of automated ordering systems.
+ Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve any automated ordering system issues.
+ Proactively monitor the system to prevent ordering issues.
+ Verify accuracy of receipts and orders filled.
+ Participate in consignment audits.
+ Adjust par levels based upon usage within the ERP system.
+ Provide technical set up and maintenance of automated ordering system.
+ Develop and implement new systems or manage changes of existing systems when necessary.
+ Respond to recalls as directed by the FDA or other agencies.
+ Assure that the facility meets regulatory requirements in the handling of biohazardous waste.
+ Coordinate backorder process to supply inventory.
+ Notify users of back orders and work to identify alternate products.
+ Prepare broken or returned equipment for shipment and maintain documentation of returns.
+ Manage consignment inventory items.
+ Rotate stock within defined areas and perform routine expiration management to meet KPIs.
+ Receive storeroom stock items from shipping and receiving area, unpack and inspect items for damage, verify accuracy of shipment and input information in the warehouse management system.
+ Possibly, handle returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication.
+ Deliver supplies and materials to appropriate floors and health care facilities.
+ Monitor the flow of traffic into dock areas, prioritizing deliveries ensuring the safe receipt of goods and supplies.
+ Verify accuracy of shipments, check for damage to goods and document variances of orders.
+ Prepare goods and supplies for distribution, prioritize deliveries, and sort and label loads ensuring the safe, correct and timely delivery of orders.
+ Complete six months of on-the-job training required to learn specialized surgery components, inventory systems, and departmental policies and procedures.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Valid driver's license (VDL) and meet all of Cleveland Clinic insurance requirements
+ Two years of experience in inventory control functions with responsibility for par levels, purchasing functions, inventory analysis and usage trends
+ **OR** an Associate's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Experience in healthcare supply chain functions
+ Computer systems experience including bar code readers, handheld computers and printers
+ Inventory experience
Physical Requirements:
+ Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
+ Requires periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system.
+ Must be able to lift 40 lbs
+ Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $17.25
Maximum hourly: $26.31
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education.
