The **Director of Event Marketing** is responsible for leading the operation of events in partnership with third party relationships to include lead generation and management, compliance, and the development of new and innovative offers. To ensure consistency in goals and operations, the role will be responsible for leading and training the events team as well as creating training for all associates. This role will define the strategy for lead utilization and maximization while orchestrating the relationship building between field sales and marketing, and vendor programs, while creating and maintaining best practices and strategies around the development of new marketing programs, and tour and sales results. The individual in this position lead a team in the implementation of these strategies while coordinating with corporate and field personnel. The on-going support of the marketing lead universe requires management of lead generation efforts as well as full compliance with FCC regulations to ensure proper use of those leads. For complete program development and management, this individual in this role will also oversee financial and performance metrics.
How You’ll Shine:
+ Develop the strategy for maximizing event marketing opportunities with third party partners along with the goals to achieve the needed tour flow by **.**
+ Oversee the Event Marketing team and operations to ensure field sales leaders meet their tour requirements, and the program achieves the defined metrics including tour production, tour cost, lead cost, and data management.
+ Communicate and manage day to day vendor operations including but not limited to compliance, tour generation, and sales efficiencies.
+ Drive the implementation of new programs and vendor relationships through partnerships with field and corporate teams and by supporting various touch points within the corporate marketing process.
+ Support the development of package strategies to provide the program with the best quality tours.
+ Support the development of owner and prospect communication strategies and implementation.
+ Coordinate and support special events and the activities leading up to those events.
Travel Requirements
+ Travel will absolutely be required in this position and is essential to success. Field and vendor presence will be 50% of the time.
What You’ll Bring:
+ Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent field experience required
+ Computer skills including Outlook, MS Office suite of products
+ Should be able to communicate the insight and ideas effectively
+ Ability to effectively communicate and partner with management and peers
+ Ability to work cross-functionally and implement projects without direct reporting control
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Strong time management skills, team contributor, and detail oriented
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical skills and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to interact effectively with senior management
+ Strong planning, organizational and project management skills
+ 2+ years marketing manager experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
+ Understanding of sales and marketing practices in vacation ownership, preferred
+ 3+ years’ experience in broad-based relationship management or account executive role, or related experience
