Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene / Cheshire Medical Center
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene / Cheshire Medical Center is currently seeking a Medical Director to lead and help expand Psychiatric Services at our collegial and community-centered practices located in beautiful Keene, New Hampshire.
In this role, serving as Medical Director of Psychiatric Services, you will work with the Chiff Medical Officer at D-H Keene/Cheshire Medical Center and the leadership of the academic Department of Psychiatry at Dartmouth Health to build our psychiatry services. The Medical Director is a strategic member of the Medical Provider Leadership Group at Cheshire and works closely with other departments and services across the Medical Center. Additional administrative responsibilities include oversight of the clinical services, direct supervision of psychiatrists and other staff, recruitment of faculty and staff, quality improvement initiatives, advocacy and liasoning with local community treatment programs among others
As part of this role, you will provide direct clinical care including on one or more services including outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management, outpatient collaborative care, psychiatric consultations to the ED and inpatient medical units, and outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services at Cheshire Medical Center’s Doorway Department, which launched its Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program in September 2020.In addition, you will supervise psychiatric advanced practice providers in these areas. Teaching opportunities in the Keene/Cheshire Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program, and the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Psychiatry Residency Program are also available. Faculty who participate in teaching will be eligible for an academic appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.

- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
- Must obtain and maintain a medical license in the states of New Hampshire and Vermont
