Description:
Job Specific Competencies
+ Assumes accountability for managing delivery of care and patient safety
+ Appropriately educates and explains procedures to patients
+ Assesses patients for potential risk factor
+ Follows appropriate departmental protocol for procedures unless specified differently by the Radiologist
+ Obtains and documents patient history and pertinent information
+ Insures proper identification of patient following NPSG guidelines (pt. name ,DOB)
+ Verifies and follows Doctor’s order
+ Provides for patient privacy
+ Completes work within an acceptable time fram e
+ Produces quality diagnostic images for interpretation
+ Positioning / Technique / Sterile technique
+ Familiar with location of emergency equipment and medications to assist in treatment of contrast reactions and other emergencies.
