We are seeking a Lead UX Designer to drive the strategic design of intuitive, scalable, and impactful digital experiences across our customer and employee platforms.
As a Lead UX Designer, you will serve as a strategic design leader and hands-on contributor, responsible for shaping the structure and flow of digital experiences. You will partner closely with product, research, content, engineering, and design system teams to define experience strategies, lead complex initiatives, and mentor other designers. Your work will directly influence how millions of users interact with Delta’s digital ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead the design of complex, cross-platform user experiences, focusing on interaction design, information architecture, and user flows.
+ Translate business goals, user needs, and research insights into scalable design strategies and solutions.
+ Lead design sprints and strategic workshops to align stakeholders, explore opportunities, and validate experience concepts.
+ Partner with product and engineering leads to shape roadmaps through a user-centered lens and ensure design feasibility and impact.
+ Create and present UX artifacts such as journey maps, service blueprints, wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes.
+ Contribute to the application and evolution of Delta’s omnichannel digital design system, ensuring scalable, consistent, and accessible UX patterns
+ Champion inclusive and accessible design practices across all touchpoints.
+ Provide mentorship and design direction to Senior and Mid-level UX Designers.
+ Advocate for human-centered design principles and influence decision-making across the organization.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ 8+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating leadership in interaction design, information architecture, and user-centered strategy.
+ Proven ability to lead complex design initiatives across web and mobile platforms.
+ Deep understanding of user-centered design, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles.
+ Proficiency in Figma and other design/prototyping tools.
+ Experience facilitating workshops and design sprints.
+ Strong communication and storytelling skills to influence stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
+ Experience working in Agile environments and applying human-centered methodologies.
+ Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Design, or a related field.
+ Experience in enterprise, e-commerce, or travel-related digital products.
+ Familiarity with analytics tools and using data to inform design decisions.
+ Experience contributing to or leading design system initiatives.
+ Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow design talent.
