Product Management is a team within Revenue Management
that focuses on products and experiences that deliver value for our customers
and Delta. Our goal is to identify consumer needs and maintain policies
accordingly in support of Delta’s revenue and customer experience.
The Program Manager, Product Data - Revenue Management
plays a critical role in building and maintaining data models and backend
tables that enable actionable insights across the team and broader
organization. This individual will ensure data models are efficient, scalable,
and aligned with commercial objectives. They will also craft ad-hoc queries to
answer business questions, source data cuts for current and future needs, and
troubleshooting issues promptly. Strong communication skills and a deep understanding
of data construction are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
+ Build,maintain, and optimize SQL-based data models to support team and organizationalanalytics needs.
+ Designand manage backend tables that enable efficient reporting and analysis.
+ Anticipatefuture data requirements and proactively source relevant datasets, anticipatechallenges and proactive identifies solutions.
+ Drivechange in their space.
+ Executead-hoc queries and create smaller data models to answer commercial questions.
+ Identifyand resolve data model issues quickly; improve efficiency of existing models;uses data to influence and facilitate impact.
+ Collaboratewith cross-functional data teams to ensure consistent methodologies and dataintegrity.
+ Actas a subject matter expert for team data models and dashboards.
+ Communicatecomplex data concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Provideguidance and support to junior team members on data best practices.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ 5+ years of experience in data management andmodeling.
+ Proven experience in business commercialanalytics to optimize revenue and business strategy.
+ Advanced proficiency in SQL (required).
+ Working knowledge of SAS, Tableau, or similarBI tools.
+ Strong analytical thinking andproblem-solving skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communicationskills.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and optimize existingdata structures.
+ Must be performing satisfactorily in currentposition. Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others,and personal data.
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, andstyles.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or highschool equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and hasauthorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ 5+ years of experience in Revenue Managementor a commercial analytics environment.
+ Aviation industry experience.
+ Familiarity with Delta’s commercial databases(e.g., RPAD, PNR, IBL).
+ Knowledge of travel industry data andmetrics.
