Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in the implementation of new, changed, or improved products into our manufacturing processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that directly impacts lives.
Responsibilities
+ Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes.
+ Collaborate closely with quality and manufacturing teams to implement measurement and process control techniques.
+ Design and develop tooling and processes to ensure effective and efficient production methods.
+ Work with vendors to develop specifications for tooling, equipment, parts, or materials.
+ Assist operations in estimating staffing requirements, production times, and costs to provide data.
+ Design and develop structured processes for improvement and coordinate product/process changes.
+ Create and maintain accurate documentation of tool drawings and equipment design concepts.
+ Provide engineering support to the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
+ 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
+ Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
+ Experience in technical writing and creating work instructions.
+ Experience performing process audits and time studies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
+ Knowledge of process improvement, manufacturing processes, tooling, machining, and fabrication.
Work Environment
This role is exclusively for the 2nd shift (1-9pm) in a recently remodeled facility featuring a game room area and an extremely clean manufacturing environment. You will gain valuable experience overseeing a fast-paced manufacturing process where the product directly affects lives. Our team consists of six manufacturing engineers who collaborate to tackle various projects. The work involves approximately 80% on the floor responding to machines and setups, with 20% desk work. Dress code is casual, reflecting our commitment to a comfortable yet professional work atmosphere. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
