Job Title: Automation EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Automation Engineer to join our team. This position is primarily remote (75% or more), but occasional travel to client and customer sites across the United States will be required. The role involves working on various inductive automation projects, focusing on converting gas from landfills into energy. The successful candidate will add additional functionalities to existing projects, primarily using Ignition and its counterpart for reporting, as well as PLCs.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and program PLCs for automation projects
+ Utilize Ignition software for project functionalities and reporting
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HMI, FactoryTalk, and other related systems
+ Collaborate with team members and clients via Microsoft Teams
+ Travel to client and customer sites as required for project needs
+ Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
+ Generate SQL reports for project analysis and documentation
Essential Skills
+ SCADA experience
+ SQL reporting experience
+ Ignition experience
+ PLC programming experience (Studio5000)
+ HMI troubleshooting
+ FactoryTalk proficiency
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Engineering Degree (preferred)
+ Experience in the energy field (preferred)
Work Environment
This position is predominantly remote, with communication and collaboration conducted via Microsoft Teams. Occasional travel to various sites across the United States is required. The role typically involves 40 hours of work per week, with potential for additional hours during travel. Access to Udemy courses is provided after six months. The project is expected to last a minimum of six months, with the possibility of extending to one year or transitioning into a full-time role.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $60.00/hr.
