    MEP Estimator (Government Agency Projects | NYC)

    We’re hiring an experienced MEP Estimator to lead cost planning and estimation for large-scale projects with agencies such as SCA, DASNY, and other public sector clients. This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City or our Albany office.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Prepare detailed MEP estimates for government agency, healthcare, and institutional projects

    + Analyze drawings, specifications, and documentation for cost breakdowns

    + Evaluate subcontractor bids and perform scope reviews

    + Collaborate with design teams for constructability and value engineering

    + Participate in preconstruction meetings and client presentations

    + Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases

    Must-Haves

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management

    + 5–10+ years of MEP estimating experience

    + Proven experience with government agency projects (SCA, DASNY, etc.)

    + Proficiency in estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Destini, Sitework tools)

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills

    Preferred

    + Experience advising clients on cost strategies and market conditions

    + Familiarity with corporate estimating processes

    + Ability to manage multiple estimates under tight deadlines

    Work Environment

    + On-site in NYC office (4–5 days/week)

    + Travel: 10–15%

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $85.00/hr.
