    Description

    A large distribution company in Escondido is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support their growing accounting department. This role is perfect for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn, takes direction well, and enjoys working with numbers. You will help manage payment applications, update customer records, and provide support to the AR team during month-end close.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Accurately post customer payments (checks, wires, lockbox deposits, and ACH)

    + Maintain and update customer accounts and contact information

    + Assist with sending invoices, statements, and payment reminders

    + Support reconciliation of AR transactions and aging schedule reviews

    + Prepare deposits and ensure proper coding into the accounting system

    + Provide administrative support to the AR Specialist and Controller as needed

    + Help with documentation preparation and filing for audits

    Requirements

    + 1–2 years of accounting or AR support experience

    + Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail

    + Familiarity with QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems preferred

    + Positive attitude with willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
