Lead a team as the regulatory and Quality Management Systems technical expert for the Honeywell Aerospace Quality Systems and Regulatory Compliance team by applying your expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to plan and execute strategic Aero Quality FOD and Document Control programs. Working with CBTs, Operations, Engineering, Contracts and Sourcing, you will lead the strategic direction and initiatives that ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling site and functional accountability for governance of the Quality System, product manufacturing, repair, and acceptance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has primary responsibility to ensure compliance with various countries' regulatory requirements, liaison with cross-functional teams and with in-region OEM and airlines customers. The individual will also provide Quality Systems support to all global ISC operations for Honeywell Aerospace sites and assist with oversight of the Aero quality management system. Additional responsibilities:
+ Develop strategies for successful planning and execution of the Aero FOD Program
+ Manage the Aero QMS Document Control processes and systems
+ Facilitate integration of new Aviation regulations (e.g. PSMS, Part IS) and M&A Quality Systems
+ Drive digitization and process simplification to manage and continuously improve Quality System tools, databases, and web applications
+ Perform training and communicate Quality Systems requirements for sites under the common Aero QMS
+ Ensure compliance with multi-national civil and military aviation regulations
+ Use project management tools to influence cross-functional departments and activities
+ Perform risk analysis, drive mitigation actions, and build continuous improvements into project execution
+ Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget
+ Support Aero Regulatory team goals for QMS management, site audits, and industry certifications globally
Partner with Aero leadership, sites, and functions to drive compliance and audit readiness
YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field
+ 10+ years in Quality in an aviation, space and defense environment
+ 10+ years as a QMS Lead Auditor
+ Extensive knowledge of the AS9100 series of industry standards
+ Extensive experience with civil aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, TCCA, CAAC, et al) and domestic/foreign DOD requirements
+ Direct experience with all elements of the Honeywell Aerospace Quality Management Systems and certifications
+ Previous direct relationship management with federal and defense regulators, customers, and contracting personnel
WE VALUE
+ Process knowledge of FAIRs, IPDS, APQP/PPAP, supplier management, ODA, measurement systems, etc.
+ Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and mentor others
+ Demonstrated customer relations experience
+ Considerable experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, and repair and overhaul environments
+ Six Sigma Lean, Greenbelt or Blackbelt
+ Demonstrated proficiency in project management
+ Successful application of RCCA and CAMP processes
+ Expert in Quality Systems, Aviation and Defense Regulatory law
Travel for this role estimated to be up to 50%. This is an ITAR/EAR restricted position.
