    Job Summary:

    A Buyer II Is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and services. Here are some key responsibilities and requirements for this role:

    Responsibilities:

    + Purchasing: Acquire materials, supplies, and services at the most favorable terms.

    + Vendor Management: Assist in qualify vendors, possible evaluation of bids, and negotiate prices and terms where applicable

    + Tracking and Monitoring: Track purchases, monitor vendor quality, on-time delivery and maintain a current database of vendor information.

    + Documentation: Complete required documentation

    + Communication: Manage supplier communication and coordinate shipping and receiving reconciliation reports.

    + Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and deliver on customer needs.

    + Inventory Reduction: Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels.

    Requirements:

    + Education: Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.

    + Experience: 2 to 4 years of related experience.

    + Skills: Strong communication skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience with ERP platforms like Oracle is desired. Ability to manage multiple deliverables is a must.

    + Other: tasks as needed by management.

    Physical Requirements:

    Working at a desk for extended periods of time, attending meetings and collaborating with colleagues. May be occasionally required to lift, carry, push or pull up to 20lbs. Adaptability to both air-conditioned offices and factory floor. Must understand safety protocols and follow them diligently.
