    Zions Bank has just opened an opportunity for a **Communications Officer** based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

    The role of a Communications Officer:

    + Communicate Zions Bank’s position as Utah’s top small business lender, No. 1 bank in deposit market share and supporter of the community.

    + Reinforce the bank’s community brand by supporting branch programs and targeting media for maximum local exposure.

    + Build strong relationships with reporters/editors/news directors and branch managers in local communities.

    + Manage bankwide major PR events

    + Amplify sponsorships, charitable giving and the bank’s financial education efforts

    + Support copywriting requests for flyers, brochures, emails and advertising

    + Write copy for social media, external blog and internal communications.

    + Work closely with other communications staff, as well as with other departments, to ensure strategic coordination and implementation of all communications.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or a related field and experience in writing, editing and producing print and/or electronic communications or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

    + Ability to collaborate with business line leaders to support bank goals through public relations.

    + Creative contributor, strategic thinker and problem solver with excellent attention to detail.

    + Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely and accurately in written and verbal form.
